ROLE MODEL
One of the questions that can give you an insight into a person's mindset is - Who is your role model? It is such an interesting and yet a simple question.
My answer to this is - My role model doesn't exist. I don't have a particular real life person whom I consider as my role model. I am attracted to a single unique or a set of different attributes from people that I've seen or come across.
I have created an ideal image of a Future Dhruv that is far more skillful, in possession of amazing qualities & habits, a strong belief system, a strict set of principles, has a ton of experience and much more. It is almost like a God. And this Dhruv will always be ahead of me. I was inspired into this line of thought after I heard Matthew McConaughey's speech. (You should check that out. It was some award ceremony)
I sat down and looked at my role models and realised that I don't actually consider them as a role model in all aspects of life. I am attracted to a particular set of skills/attributes that they have acquired over years of experience. And then I created The Dhruv Thanki with all the things that I admire. All qualities, habits, values, principles, philosophy, knowledge, wisdom, physique, wealth, properties, etc.
I will never be able to become that Dhruv cause I'll keep modifying him as I gain more experiences. I will come across many people, regardless of their career, wealth, health, age, nationality, etc with different set of identities and values. And I will add that to The Dhruv that is exists only in my imagination.
That Dhruv is my role model. The one that fits in my definition of "ideal" and the one that grows as grow. Each year I will improve and try to get closer and with each step he'll move ahead. I hope that I keep getting closer but never actually become The Dhruv.
This reminds me of the famous dialogue " Mai apni favourite hoon"😂😂... Beautifully written yarrr!Loved it❤️
